There are dunes and water... You can lose yourself in a book in the shade or on a lounge chair at the library, which sets up shop there in the summer.

The South Beach in Biscarrosse is the undisputed hangout for locals who’ve been riding the waves here since they were kids!
Its unique sandbar produces powerful waves at high tide and challenging ones once the tide goes out. You’re sure to run into a few seasoned local surfers there.

- Beach patrolled from May through October
- Follow the lifeguards’ safety instructions in swimming areas
- Be careful of sunburn, even on cloudy days. Use sunscreen
- Enter the water gradually to avoid the risk of hypothermia
- The ocean is a natural environment: protect it by respecting nature
- Help keep the beaches clean—don’t litter or leave cigarette butts on the sand
- Campfires and wild camping are prohibited
- Dogs are allowed on the beach, but must be kept on a leash outside of supervised hours
