Cycle routes

Biscarrosse & the Great Lakes have a network of bicycle paths to move safely between the different communes.

Forests, lakes, dunes, ocean, the impression of immensity dominates... Bisca Grands Lacs, it's 145 km of cycle tracks connecting Biscarrosse, Sanguinet, Parentis en Born, Gastes, Ste Eulalie en Born and Ychoux. Only Lue is not served by a cycle track. Further north, it extends towards the Arcachon basin through the forest, then along the ocean and the Dune du Pilat.

A few tips for a successful bike ride

  • Select a good backpack (weight, comfort, practicality). Do not take a bag that is too big.
  • Make reserves for the breaks: water, cereal bars, fruit pastes, sugar, dried fruits. To be always hydrated, drink ½ l of water per hour.
  • Take a map, a compass, or a GPS (Even if the bike paths are marked, you never know)
  • Think about the first aid kit: disinfectant, arnica, plaster, splinter forceps, soothing ointment against insect bites, compresses, whistle, survival blanket...

And why not...

  • Charged cell phone
  • Emergency numbers,
  • Lightweight, waterproof pouch
  • Sunglasses, sun cream
  • Hat, cap
  • Change of clothes and rain gear
