The Musée de Borda is one of the oldest cultural institutions in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, with two sites in the heart of Dax.
Take a walk beneath the present-day town on the remains of a Gallo-Roman basilica, classified as a Historic Monument, and discover the permanent exhibition devoted to objects of daily life, religion, trade and the political organization of the inhabitants of the Landes and Pyrenees regions 2,000 years ago. Tactile tours and tours for young visitors are also available.
The temporary exhibition "Collections since 1807" presents the history of the museum and its collections through a rich chronological and thematic tour: science, ethnology, art, archaeology... over 400 objects to discover.
