This municipal museum is one of the oldest cultural institutions in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
It comprises 2 sites:
The ancient site 24 rue Cazade
The archaeological site of the Gallo-Roman basilica presents the ancient collections through a discovery trail of the city of Aquae.
Walk through the remains and discover the everyday objects, religion, trade and political organization of the inhabitants of the Landes and the Pyrenees 2,000 years ago. Tactile tours and tours for young visitors are also available.
Temporary Exhibition 11 bis rue des Carmes
"Collections since 1807: once upon a time... the Borda Museum" presents the history of the museum and its collections through a rich chronological and thematic tour. Science, ethnology, art, archaeology... over 400 objects.
