So that everyone can have a good time in this exceptional natural site, while remaining protected, information and awareness signage is placed throughout the reception area. More than in other years, we advise you to anticipate your visit. In order to limit the number of people circulating in the reception area of the Dune du Pilat, and thus reduce contact between visitors, the capacity of the parking lot has been reduced by 25% (i.e. 560 spaces instead of 750 available spaces).
Let yourself be invaded by the magic of the Dune.
As soon as you arrive, the Dune du Pilat will impress you by its size, 110 m high, 2.9 km long, 616 m wide, 55 million m3 of sand.
Take your momentum and go for the ascent, by the stairs or by the sand. At the top, you'll be thrilled: an exceptional panorama will reveal the wonders of the basin: the Arguin bank, the forest, the Cap-Ferret lighthouse... A classified site since 1978, the "spirit of the place" will remain intact until your return.
